Für alle, die es nicht mitbekommen haben sollten: in Schweden läuft zur Zeit der Prozess gegen den Torrent Tracker The Pirate Bay. Auf TorrentFreak wird ausgiebig darüber berichtet. Daraus muss ich hier einfach mal zitieren.
Following the lunch break, proceedings continued with prosecutor Håkan Roswall failing to start up his computer. For several minutes, listeners of the live audio could hear mouse-clicks as Roswall, who earlier claimed to be an expert on computer crimes, tried to get his PowerPoint presentation on the screen. He was eventually ordered by the judge to stick to his papers and continue.
Man sieht: ein echter Experte der Mann. Gut nun könnte man sagen dass er zwar das theoretische Wissen hat, es nur nicht in der Praxis umsetzen kann. Stimmt aber auch nicht.

Eben dieser Peter (Sunde) hat den ersten Prozesstag am besten zusammengefasst:

Wie recht er damit hatte zeigt sich jetzt am zweiten Tag: Der “Computerexperte”, der es nicht schafft seinen Computer zu starten zeigt dass er keine Ahnung von BitTorrents Funktionsweise hat, will Pirate Bays Beteiligung mit Screenshots beweisen, auf denen keinerlei Verbindung zu TPB sichtbar ist. Das Ergebnis?

Damit ist denen die Hälte ihrer kompletten Anklage weggebrochen.
Aber um den “Computerexperten” nicht vollständig wie den letzten Idioten dastehen zu lassen der Fairness halber hier noch ein weiteres Zitat.

Under state law, God is Kentucky’s first line of defense against terrorism.
The 2006 law organizing the state Office of Homeland Security lists its initial duty as “stressing the dependence on Almighty God as being vital to the security of the Commonwealth.”

Specifically, Homeland Security is ordered to publicize God’s benevolent protection in its reports, and it must post a plaque at the entrance to the state Emergency Operations Center with an 88-word statement that begins, “The safety and security of the Commonwealth cannot be achieved apart from reliance upon Almighty God.”
Klingt im ersten Moment ja mal absolut dämlich, wenn man darüber nachdenkt ist das aber eine sehr gute Maßnahme. Warum? Ganz einfach. Es bringt genau das gleiche wie andere sogenannte Anti-Terror-Maßnahmen: Wer dran glaubt fühlt sich sicherer, wer mit offenen Augen durchs Leben läuft merkt sofort, dass es gar nichts bringt. Diese Methode der Gefahrenabwehr hat allerdings 2 riesen Vorteile gegenüber dem Unsinn den Schäuble bei uns durchdrücken will.
Ich hätte ja nicht gedacht, dass ich das noch mal sagen würde, aber da können wir uns bei den Amis noch ne Scheibe abschneiden.

Ist zwar schon ein paar Tage älter, aber da komm ich jetzt nicht dran vorbei: Die Sprecherin des Weißen Hauses gibt zu, dass nicht Bin Laden hinter der Zerlegung des World Trade Centers steht.

Ähm huh?

Warum dann die Jagd auf Bin Laden als der große Buhmann?
MS. PERINO: Well, obviously, as the leader of al Qaeda, he is somebody that we want to bring to justice. He was the one that asked his deputies to plot and plan and carry out attacks. And that’s why we’ve been aggressively going after them, as well.
Fehlt nur noch das Eingeständnis, dass sie das von Anfang an wussten.

Dass ich das noch mal schreiben darf: Haftbefehle gegen Bush und Cheney wegen Kriegsverbrechen.
Up in the town of Marlboro, VT, population 1000, the town constable may have a new job. If President George W. Bush, or Vice President Dick Cheney should happen to stop by there, perhaps to pick up some freshly made maple syrup or maple sugar candy, he’d have to arrest them. Last night, the citizens of Marlboro voted in their annual town meeting to indict both men for war crimes, obstruction of justice and perjury. The vote was 43-25, with three abstentions.
Residents of nearby Brattleboro, population 12,000, did the same, voting 2012-1795.

Kennebunkport, ME, where the Bush family summer compound is located. There, Laurie Dobson, Kennebunkport resident and an independent candidate for the Maine US Senate seat currently held by Republican Susan M. Collins, has filed a similar resolution, calling for Bush’s and Cheney’s arrests and extradition (or deportation) to a jurisdiction where they can be effectively prosecuted for war crimes and other criminal violations.

Afghanistan hat 2007 beim Opium Anbau seine eigenen Rekorde aus den Vorjahren übertroffen. 93% Des weltweiten Opiums kommt jetzt aus Afghanistan, 14% der Menschen dort arbeiten in der Produktion, der Anbau von Opium macht mehr als ein Drittel des afghanischen Bruttoinlandsprodukt aus.
Da haben die Besatzer ja ganze Arbeit geleistet beim Wiederaufbau der Wirtschaft.

George Bush hat einen Rekord aus dem Jahr 1952 gebrochen: Er ist der amerikanische Präsident mit dem schlechtesten “approval rating” jemals. Glückwunsch!
In dem Artikel gibt es eine kleine Übersicht darüber, welche Präsidenten bisher am schlechtesten plaziert waren.
Was mich allerdings beunruhigt:
When it comes to Bush’s handling of the economy, 14% approve and 79% disapprove.
Die Wirtschaft liegt dank Bush in Scherben und 14% sagen dazu noch gut gemacht?
