Irische Content Mafia erpresst ISP
Auf der Suche nach neuen Entwicklungen im PirateBay Prozess bin ich auf diesen interessanten Artikel gestoßen.
Die irische Musikindustrie hat einen ISP “überzeugt” auf ihre Anweisung hin den Zugang zu Filesharing sites zu blocken. Und da das nichts bringt, wenn das nur einer macht:
The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) has already convinced Eircom to comply, and is warning the other Internet providers in Ireland that they should follow suit, or face legal action.
Ich kenne mich im irischen Rechtssystem nicht aus, könnte mir aber durchaus vorstellen, dass Erpressung verboten ist und Zensur auf Anordnung einer nicht-staatlichen Organisation nicht üblich ist.
